Attended Auburn University Montgomery 1974 – 1976: full time at night - majoring in art, journalism and English.

Completed Winona Professional Photography School for portrait, commercial and photojournalism.

University of Mississippi professional work shops and have attended seminars with Monty Zucker, Leon Kennamer, Bill Stockwell, Lisle Ramsey, Edward A. DeCroce, Don Feltner and others.

1987: AUM Desktop Publishing

1987- 88: Micro/Train in Birmingham for Desktop Design using Quark.

1988– present: working with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, Acrobat,Bridge, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash, Light Room and others as needed.

OCTOBER 1971 – PRESENT: SELF-EMPLOYED AS: Robert Lyle Photo & Graphic Design

2008 – Present: Updating all software and enhancing my skills.

In addition: 2004 – 2008: Trained and drove an 18-wheeler across the country for the opportunity to take pictures and meet with people all over this great country.

2000 – 2004: Worked with a friend to teach him how to run a business left to him by his parents.

1998 – 2002: Manager of SWIRL Publications serving as publisher and photographer for “Montgomery Sports Beat”.

1971 – Present: Studio, freelance, commercial, editorial photography, marketing of stock photos and graphic design.

Clients include: AT&T, Production Credit Assn., Libby Glass, Blount Inc., PRC, d’Saiaon Creative Color, Thermo King, Thermal Components, Moore Data, Price Printing, senior portraits for Jefferson Davis High School, Sidney Lanier High School and others from Montgomery to Mobile. Yearbook photography at Maxwell Air War College, Air Command Staff College, Squadron Officer School (SOS), Auburn Miss Glom and over 1,750 plus weddings.

JANUARY1967-SEPTEMBER 1971: Service Photography working as staff photographer for both The Montgomery Advertiser and The Alabama Journal, and stringer for Time, Newsweek, API, UPI and others.
